Fluency Strips are an engaging & effective way to improve your students’ reading fluency. Practice with fluency sentences paired with phonics patterns helps your students read connected text with success!

This Ready Reader Decodables resource supports the lessons & patterns of our Set 1, Set 2, and Set 3 books.

There are 100+ controlled, decodable sentences available to be cut intro strips and read to promote fluency. There are also game pieces included to turn the activity into a fun and interactive game: Monster Mash! (Directions included)

For each phonics pattern, there are 6 controlled sentences. These will help your students build their word recognition, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension!
